Loripscream - Generatively Delicious!

Almost every designer which include text, must've known about Lorem Ipsum :D

When I first encountered this text, I thought it was just some random Latin text. But if you dig deeper, it is a passage that came from a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC ;) Designers often copy-and-paste the text, to fill up some space that were later meant to be filled by real-text. This was mostly done, to just provide a mock-up, to give a general view of a layout :)

The text is more likely looks like this :

"Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Ut enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi ut aliquip ex ea commodo consequat. Duis aute irure dolor in reprehenderit in voluptate velit esse cillum dolore eu fugiat nulla pariatur. Excepteur sint occaecat cupidatat non proident, sunt in culpa qui officia deserunt mollit anim id est laborum."

Now, Lorem Ipscream offers a whole lotsa new flavor for this Lorem Ipsum text ;)
Basically it was a neat text-generator :D


But while the functionality works just fine, there's a few glitch that's been bothering me. First one is in Firefox 2.0.0.6


When you choose some flavor, it will generate the text, but it seems that it was truncated, and you can't scrolled it down ! So you can not copy the whole generated text ! This is a little bit annoying :|

So, then I go and try it on IE 6.0, and it gave me this result :


The results is even worse, the generated text are on top of the image. Which make it hard to read, and find ! At first I search it on the bottom, since on Firefox, it was on the bottom, but it turns out to be on top. Well, at least the whole text can be copied on IE :P

Well, the functionality and idea are nice, the layout is neat and pretty, but still there's some more work to do on the output ;) It will be nicer if there's a button to do the 'Copy' function to our clipboard right ;)

Another note for the geeky, all of this will not be a bother for you :P Since Loripscream provide an API which is just all you need right ;)

Anyway, Loripscream - It's Generatively Delicious to try ;) Or you can prefer the I CAN HAS CHEEZBURGER? versions :P

Remember GAME & WATCH ?

The folks over at HANDHELD REMAKES got a plenty of this nostalgic games ^^

I mean, man ! I used to own one of these ! I played every single time when it's possible, even at schools :P

Seriuously! This thing was so popular back then!

When i was a little kid, i can not spell the english word. Back in my country Indonesia, we used to call this thing as a GIMBOT :P hehe...

And Popeye here is my first one :) It's fun, and easy enough to operate by little kids :P just use both of your thumbs, and press press press press press press press :P so addicting :)

It's nice to see this thing come alive again nowadays :D

You can play some of the HANDHELD REMAKES games online too! There are several popular title here ;) Also some remake to make it more appealing to our eyes :D

With ButtonBoost.com you can create quick and easy professional looking buttons for your website, application or whatever you want.

To have this kinda button is fairly easy, as in 1-2-3
1. Just type in your text
2. Adjust your button's face color
3. Click on any button you like ;)

Voila ! You have made your button ;) But, there's a side note here, you have a render limit of 150 button :) so make sure you have all the nice color and button before your 150th try ;)

BUT ! If I can suggest you, the REAL NICE ONE is for you to try the ADVANCED mode :D


With four options to play, you really will have a real nice button ^^

For example, in the Button Style tab, there are 6 sytle which you can choose ;)

If you're building a desktop application too, this could fit in too ;)

Buttons are everywhere, don't limit yourself to just a web button right ;)


Another goodies is on the Effects/Color tab.

You can have an ICON on your button ! Nice eh ?! As for another FX, it was a Font FX, you can apply shadows and outline color.

The Fileformat that Button Boost offers, comes in 3 popular format, PNG GIF and JPG, well of course it's standard for the web :P but at least you can have it other than JPG right ;)

All-in-all this truly is a real nice button generator :) There only a few things to considered, first is the limit of 150 rendering, but i think this limit is ok :) you won't be spending all 150 right ;)

The second one is the use of frame, the area for all those button thing are in the frame, you'll have to scroll it down when browsing through their template. Well i mean if it doesn't on the frame, we are still goin' to scroll :P But then again, the limitation of the frame is a little bit annoying to me :P

In conclusion, this Button Boost is really worth trying ;)
