Blogger: Feeds are Sorted Correctly

Thursday, June 28, 2007

Blogger Feeds are now sorted correctly as in the way we always wanted (and it should be).

As always, the news come from phydeaux3 - Blogger Feeds Now Sorted by Published Date ^^ a blogger i respected so much :)

So, from now onwards, your feed will be sorted by published date, instead of the updated date ;) This is quite a breeze ain't it ;)

Before, Blogger offers a solution for this, by using some parameter to the feed url. But now, i think they ought to listen to the majority :D

And if you have changed your feed's url, then no need to worry, since it won't effect much.
The only thing you need to consider is, if you wanted the feeds to display as the original Blogger feed's behaviour, which is sorting based on your updated date, then just change the orderby parameter and set it to become like this

orderby=published

So, again, great work Blogger ^^

Get RID of Those Trojan.Vundo !!

Wednesday, June 20, 2007

Recently, I've attacked by this annoying Vundo !! I even have to RE-INSTALL my computer TWICE !! VERY ANNOYING !

Trojan.Vundo is a component of an adware program that downloads and displays pop-up advertisements. It is known to be installed by visiting a Web site link contained in a spammed email.

This is a trojan detection. Unlike viruses, trojans do not self-replicate. They are spread manually, often under the premise that they are beneficial or wanted. The most common installation methods involve system or security exploitation, and unsuspecting users manually executing unknown programs. Distribution channels include email, malicious or hacked web pages, Internet Relay Chat (IRC), peer-to-peer networks, etc.

The latest variants of this trojan are observed to display fake error messages and asks the user to download security software programs. User will be asked to download SysProtect application to remove the threat.

This thing is very sneaky ! Almost every antivirus CANT ! I repeat ! CANT ! CANT remove this Vundo ! (and to think that we have to pay and subscribe for those ! jeez ! especially those big guy in this AntiVirus bussiness ! bah !)

Sure thing, if you search on google, there are ways to remove it manually ! But man! You have to be an ubber geek to do that nice and smoothly.

So, lemme share my experience.

I've tried to delete those pesky .dll files, unregistered it from the system, delete the registry, but damn, i finally gave up, and search for a free removal tool.

The first one i try is this one

I run that thing ! For more than 1 hours ! Coz, it scans all of my HDD, which is more than 300GB. Sure thing it can be stopped manually, but i never really sure about stopping it in the middle of scanning somethin' . So there it goes, another night with those windows of ads still poppin' out.

The second night, i googled another one. That is this one.

I tried to avoid hotlinking here, so i just point out to the URL ^^ . Still if you can't access it because of the traffic, then lemme know, i'll send you the 105KB VundoFix.exe ;)

Anyway, this is the ONLY SOLUTIONS that worked for me ! Well, since after trying this one, the NASTY Vundo is gone, then why bother to search another one right ?! ;)

You just run it, basically it'll close all your explorer process, search the trojan.
Listing files found while scanning....

C:\windows\system32\awtqn.dll
C:\windows\system32\bjfygvan.ini
C:\windows\system32\dboybwuu.dll
C:\windows\system32\dyvclesl.dll
C:\windows\system32\elypwnht.dll
C:\windows\system32\eqihpwtl.ini
C:\windows\system32\exjtbjdq.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\jbgwofny.dll
C:\windows\system32\ltwphiqe.dll
C:\windows\system32\navgyfjb.dll
C:\windows\system32\nqtwa.bak1
C:\WINDOWS\system32\nqtwa.bak2
C:\windows\system32\nqtwa.ini
C:\windows\system32\qfptmcsg.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\qomkiff.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\sceoejde.dll
C:\windows\system32\uuwbyobd.ini
C:\windows\system32\ynfowgbj.ini

After listing all the trojan files, you just click the Remove Vundo button. But then, there are still 1 file that can't be deleted !

But no worry, the program suggested to reboot first, and it'll try to remove it again when the windows starts for the first time.

So i just followed the instructions, and when the windows start. You know what ?! It HALT all other process ! Including the explorer.exe . You just see the Vundo Fix Program, trying to remove the last trojan file, before any other process started ! This is the only way to remove it totally i guess !

Overall, it took no more than 15 minutes !! GREAT ! With just a few clicks here and there ! BRILLIANT !

This cybertech guys, surely are good ^^ . So for everybody that found this useful (me too) ;)
If we have helped you, please consider making a donation to TSG!

Thanks a bunch ^^

MyLiveSignature

Saturday, June 16, 2007

MyLiveSignature offers the services of creating and animating personal signatures. You can use it to easily create your own signature using a set of templates or to allow our designers to create your handwritten signature based on a scanned image. At the same time, our animators will give you the true impression that you sign your message with your own hand in real time.

This is a pretty nice service that offers you to animate your hand signature ;) They offer 2 services.

One is, Using the signature creation wizard, and second is, Using a scanned image.

Actually the best feature is the second one ;) which they claimed to
breathe life into your signature

But the service will cost you a little bit ;) ranging from $10 to $20. But well, since it cost me quite much, I choose another option :P the first service.

With the first service, you'll get a decent nice looking font for your name ;) Such as below :D And YES! They also provided you with all the HTML code, and the option to add a closing line, your address, email, telephone, fax, etc. ;)

Best regards,
All of the above comes, with 5 easy steps ;)
  • Step 1. Enter the name
  • Step 2. Select the font
  • Step 3. Select the size
  • Step 4. Select the color
  • Step 5. Set the slope

You can choose from 100++ fonts, various size and color too ;)

After that you'll get this nice lookin' name ;) With the Signature ID.

Now you better wrote your ID, cause you can do much later with it ;) You can either download it, or maybe you wanted to generate another code with it, in case you changed address or somethin' :D

Quite handy right ;)

Well, then, I bid you farewell for now, and have a pleasant weekend ^^

Ayiti: The Cost of Life

Saturday, June 02, 2007

Welcome to Ayiti: The Cost of Life, a beautiful flash-games brought to you by Global Kids.

Founded in 1989 and an independent not-for-profit organization since 1993, Global Kids' mission is to transform urban youth into successful students and global and community leaders by engaging them in socially dynamic, content-rich learning experiences.

The background of this game is to reminds us of Human Right to Education.
Every woman, man, youth, and child has the right to an education.

In a world where 1.2 billion people live on less than $1 per day, education is perhaps the most powerful instrument for reducing poverty and inequality, improving health and social well being, and laying the groundwork for sustained economic growth.

Education is essential for building democratic societies and dynamic, globally competitive economies where all people have equal opportunities and are able to realize their basic human rights.

The situation in the game, took place in Haiti. Some of Haitians are still having difficulties to achieve education. There are four primary obstacles preventing Haitian students from receiving the education that is their right.

1) The inability to physically reach a classroom.
2) The inability to pay school fees.
3) Inadequate school facilities and resources.
4) Poorly educated parents.

Ayiti: The Cost of Life is designed to be played by young people on their own. However, educators can use the game within their program to address a variety of issues, such as the importance of education, the impact of poverty, or life in Haiti.

We must all recognize the importance of free, basic education if millions of children are to be equipped with the tools and skills they need to rise out of poverty and become self-reliant, productive members of society.

So, hopefully with this beautiful games, you can grasp the importance of education. And to all of us who can get to be educated, we should all give thanks for it ;)

Have a nice weekend everybody ^^

p.s: all the above text are taken from the game ;)
